New Jersey duo Beggars In A New Land have a new (free) EP out digitally entitled Space Touch. Like their Crash Cymbols release, Teething, Space Touch is pop heavily dosed with club electronics…though even more so now. Take for instance the first track “Church” – they’ve removed their vocals and just solely concentrated on creating a club-like jam with a sick hip hop sample – of ccourse their psychedelic waves are still stream through it. That’s how this EP feels all the way through – they’ve moved deeper into the bass heavy vocoder tinged club influence…and it’s working.

I’ve been a fan of the electro-pop artist Digits for a bit now, so it’s no surprise that his side project Bad Passion hits the right notes too. Alt Altman teams up with Lesley (of Toronto’s Powers) to create Doin’ It Slow – a sweet bedroom pop meets r&b trip. It kind of reminds me of Nightsongs-era Stars – which is a totally good thing. Wow how my mood changed the other day when I finally unearthed Kodak To Graph’s newest EP Visio’l. This thing sews in and out of lush atmospheric breaks and world traveling beats so perfectly.
