New Music: Yeah Yeah Yeahs “Zero”

18 Feb

It’s Blitz, the new album from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, looks to be pretty ace judging from this first track “Zero”.  There’s a lot of electronics and dance elements to this song, but none of that overshadows Karen O’s voice.  Is it just me or is there some bits of a U2 sound flowing through this?  The album drops on April 14th.

This song has been floating around for a while, and I really like it. I heard that they used so many synths ’cause the band told Nick Zinner that he wasn’t allowed to use guitar for the song.
