Victoria’s Germany Germany had me at Steffaloo. Seems there’s a lot of projects, musicians, etc. featuring her on their tracks and they all kick major ass. So once I saw that Germany Germany had her soft vocals intertwined between the thick lush electronics of “Just Go”, one of 17 gems on his newly released Adventures LP, I knew I would enjoy the full thing. I was right. GG claims The Postal Service as a huge influence, which I was fearful of at first. After listening, he clearly doesn’t go for the ripoff (*cough* Owl City *cough*), but just uses that perfect indie electronic pop platform to build upon. Good job! You can get the massive LP for $5 on bandcamp or pick up the cassette via Distorted Disco. Meanwhile…
