Kansas City’s The Republic Tigers were one of the first bands I really got into when starting Pasta Primavera back in 2007. That first EP of songs still gets much love from my stereo these days (especially “The Drums”). I know they don’t make music that breaks any barriers or causes comotion and all that, but they churn out some pretty sweet indie pop rock that manages to latch onto my ears and force me to turn it louder. They keep it up too with their newest release, the No Land’s Man EP. Four tracks that are well written and well recorded (but not over produced). A good start for the week.
