King Mob – Empathy EP
Sometimes I don’t do this enough, but it’s a good thing to give second chances. This is how I feel about Denver’s King Mob. A little while ago they released a split with Pina Chulada on Speaker Snacks and, truthfully, I wasn’t feeling it. They sport a electronic r&b sound that, at that point, didn’t appeal to me. Then in December Ben of King Mob sent over their newest effort, the three track Empathy EP and it clicked on all cylinders. The electronics have been scaled back and the r&b vocal harmonies have been pushed forward and perfected. Love it. Grab it here. Meanwhile…

Also don’t get too attached with that name…their switching it next week when they release a new single. Change is a good thing (as well as second chances).
