What is Pasta Primavera you ask? Well we’re an indie music blog operating out of Baltimore. We try to cover the large music scene here in Charm City as well as DC, Philly, and Virginia. We also post about upcoming bands and their music happenings throughout the world. So I guess we just cover music in general…that we like…and we hope you like too. Right now Pasta Primavera is being run by one guy, Laurent. If you want to let him know about any news, music, event, or are interested in writing for us please contact PP at ‘info [at] pastaprima.net or visit us on myspace or follow us on twitter or just leave a comment on the blog. Thanks!

Hey
Just discovered your cool blog. Great work!
I live a little over an hour north of Baltimore in PA. Do you know of any cool online communities/message boards for Baltimore music (specifically…post-punk, punk, hardcore genres)? I would like to connect with more people and even try to get a band started but since I live further away, I can’t attend shows in the area as often as I would like. It makes it harder to connect and put something musical together. I thought I would try to connect more on-line. Can’t seem to find anything via Google. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Dave
PS I do have a Craigslist post looking to start a new band/project. Please feel free to pass it on to anyone you know who might be interested. Thanks:

Hey!
I would LOVE to be featured here!=) WHY? I need to share my story with as many people as I can, and because I think people need to see what I’ve got!
I’m a quirky POP/ROCK artist with an urban/soulful and even folk twist. Heinz 57 I guess you could say.
Music has always been a huge part of life, and in the toughest time’s it’s always been there for me. It’s helped me through a lot of crap, and it’s how I communicate with people best. Most of my songs are about struggles and situations I’ve experiences.
If you go to my site, you can see all the info on my “about” page.

I recently released my very FIRST music video and single, which we payed for entirely ourselves (Myself and my manager, who noticed me at my school’s talent show.)
My first time opening for a bigger band was Mariana’s Trench last summer, in front of 5000+ people. Then, later on that year I opened for Down With Webster.
I am a super nerd who gets good marks and won the “Young Woman of Excellence” award in my city (Red Deer, Alberta.
I have also written with Laurell Barker (Can’t Stop Fallin’), Kuba Oms (electrolove), Jeff Dawson, and a few more in the Vancouver area.
It would be amazing to get some extra exposure and show people that you can build something positive, even when life has always seemed to want to tear you down.
Thanks for your time,
Rebecca Raabis
Laurent/Pasta Primavera,
My name is David and I’m writing on behalf of my band, The Whiskey Saints. After a bad experience hiring a PR company and wasting a lot of money (and time) we’ve been working hard to contact bloggers on our own. I came across your site via Neon Waves, another blogger that has you listed as one of their favorite music blogs.
I actually remember first finding your site years ago and being excited (as I’m originally from outside of Baltimore) to hear about what’s going on back there. I have friends in The Egg Babies Orchestra, although I haven’t been fortunate enough to see them.
Anyway, long story short, I just wanted to share my band’s newest video with you.
