Awwwwwww…..YEAH! Woodhands have just put out a super sinister remix of Peter Bjorn and John’s “Nothing To Worry About” and it makes me want to pull out an old school Commodore 64 and rock me some Spy hunter or Pole Position…or just dance like a fool.

Happy Valentine’s Day! If you’re looking for a perfect night out with your perfect mate than look no further that Baltimore’s Talking Head who has The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. Should be magnificent. Other than that I’d suggest motoring up north to Philly where Miniature Tigers and Ben Folds will serenade you and your loved one at the Electric Factory. Or maybe you just want to get down. In that case head over to the Danger Danger Gallery to catch Woodhands. Go romance!

Toronto’s Woodhands released their debut full length, Heart Attack, on Paper Bag Records this spring and it’s a dance floor electronic trip that I’ve enjoyed quite a bit. Dan Werb and Paul Banwatt create sweaty, honest, law breaking beats and melodies on the same frequency as LCD Soundsystem, but with a Cut Copy head visor giving their eyes a break. So it’s a bit more melodic is what I’m saying. I’m also saying I’m a sucker for analog synth.
