New Modest Mouse Video – Satellite Skin

Who couldn’t use some Modest Mouse every now again?  They recently put out a new video for the sweet “Satellite Skin” and it’s a bit odd (surprise surprise).  Directed by Kevin Willis this video shows you where the wild wooden cabins roam…trust me it makes sense when you watch it…no wait…it doesn’t.

New Modest Mouse – “I’ve Got It All(most)

What’s better than a new Modest Mouse song?  Nothing as far as I can tell.  IGIF recently posted the track “I’ve Got It All(most)” the other day.  Apparently it was released as a b-side of a single off of Good News For People Who Love Bad News on Itunes but then taken down almost immediately.  This song might be slated to be on their new album in August.  Also don’t forget that they have a new EP coming out soon No One’s First And You’re Next.  If this continues their tradition of their EPs it should be phenomenal (Everywhere And His Nasty Parlor Tricks is one of my all time favorite MM releases).

The Run Down – March 12, 2009

Tonight has a bum rush of shows and I’m here to talk about some of them.  Here in Baltimore the Zodiac has EAR PWR, Adventure, Dinowalrus, and Bachelor Of The Arts.  Should be sweet.  Also the hip hop poet himself, Common will be rolling into Sonar with Saleem and the Music Lovers and Wendel Patrick opening.  Rams Head Live has one of my (and probably everyone else’s) favorites in Modest Mouse performing.  Also don’t forget that Eureka Birds are playing/recording a micro show at 2603 N. Charles St.  Space will be limited.  Down in DC Hoots and Hellmouth perform at the Rock and Roll Hotel with Good Old War while Nancy plays the Red and the Black with Jay Paslay.  The 9:30 Club is the place to be though with Bell X1 and another one of my favorites, Harlem Shakes opening.  Finally up in Philadelphia Bishop Allen rock the First Unitarian Church while Langhorne SLim, The Bones Royal, and Red Collar play Johnny Brenda’s.  Enjoy!
