An end to another stunning summer week! Well stunning for me at least. I’d hate to make an overwhelming generalization that the entire world had a stunning week. It would be nice if they did…but probably not…any way I’m rambling because that’s what Fridays are for – a time to uncork your mind and let it spill out onto the office floor. Let these tunes be the soundtrack for that event:
mp3: The Gossip – Listen Up (The Black Ghosts Remix)
mp3: Kanye West, Nas, & KRS-One – Better Than I’ve Ever Been (Logarhythmik Remix)
mp3: Ratatat – Falcon Jab (Them Jeans Remix)
mp3: Sunny Day Sets Fire – I Dream Along (Triobelisk Remix)

In DC tonight you might not want to miss the one and only KRS-One at the Black Cat with Kokayi. He never puts on a bad show. If you are missing it, maybe you’re heading out to the Rock and Roll Hotel to catch Black Moth Super Rainbow, Subtle, Efterklang, and Slaraffenland. Or maybe, just maybe, you’re lucky enough to get up to Philly and witness the Jam On The River at Penn’s Landing which features The Flaming Lips, RJD2, and Josh Ritter.
mp3: KRS-One – Sound Of Da Police
mp3: Black Moth Super Rainbow – Rollerdisco
mp3: Efterklang – Mirador
mp3: Slarafffenland – Polaroids
mp3: The Flaming Lips – Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots Pt. 1
mp3: RJD2- Ghostwriter

There are two phenomenal shows in the surrounding areas tonight. In DC the Black Cat has Islands, Magic, and Street Carnage. In Philly, Johnny Brenda’s has Black Moth Super Rainbow, Ghastly City Sleep and Subtle. Here in Baltimore, don’t miss a quality lesson with the teacher himself, KRS-One at Sonar. Enjoy!
