Down in DC DC9 has a pleasant amalgam with The Gray Kid and Paul Michel while the Velvet Lounge has PWRFL Power, Kitty Hawk, Hume, and Pree(of Le Loup). Finally up north in Philly Rachael Yamagata is playing an intimate show at the First Unitarian Church.

Tonight in Baltimore don’t miss the famous Billy Idol performing at Pier Six. If you’re looking for a more intimate local show then the Talking Head might suit you with Love As Laughter, Impossible Hair, and Oxford Collapse performing. In DC, the Black Cat has Kitty Hawk, The Beanstalk Library, and Bryan Scary & The Shredding Tears while the 9:30 club has No Second Troy, Telograph, Exit Clov, and The Reserves. Over in Fredericksburg, VA the 3rd Floor has a great all ages show with The Winter Sounds, The Dance Party, and the Red Light Effect. Tonight there’s a trio of shows in DC that should be worth seeing. First up at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue is the great Grizzly Bear with Violens opening. At Fort Reno in the district, These United States play yet another show with another favorite Jukebox the Ghost. Over at the Red and the Black don;t miss Ghosty, Bears, and Kitty Hawk.
