At the beginning of this month I posted on a band, Ice Palace, that hit me with some delightfully confusing grunge folk rockingness with their album Wonder Subtly Crushing Us. Well they’ve also released a new video fro the solid rock track “Thoughts/Facts” featuring a slew of bands performing the same track. But which one is the real band? I’ll give you a hint – it’s not the one with the female lead singer and it’s definitely not the electro rockers…

Minneapolis’ Ice Palace are a 5 piece rock band the skim the line between old school grunge rock and modern folk rock with beautiful ease. One minute I hear Nirvana (which is always a plus in my book), the next Social Distortion, then some slide guitar and acoustics simmer to the top and make me rethink everything I just heard. Emerging from the confusion is a rock-steady album in Wonder Subtly Crushing Us. It’s out now!
