What happens when one electronic disco artist clashes with another? Great things. France’s premier disco-house dj Fred Falke has reworked the epic disco masterpiece “Warm In The Shadows” by California’s Music Go Music. The result is classic Falke. No big surprise since the original has a similar vibe to his sound. Check it:
This probably only interests me but…Falke’s remixes are usually lengthy extended versions of the original, but in this case his version actually clocks in a full minute and a half or so less than the original.
It’s a cloudy, rainy, cold Friday here in Baltimore. But I’m smiling. Why? I have a nice hot cup of coffee in front of me and I’m listening to a new remix by Fred Falke. Mr. Falke never disappoints with his disco-house styles…just makes me smile. His latest is a clash of the titans when he re-works the UK’s Burns and his track “First Move”. Check it:
Miami Horror’s Bravado Remixes is one hell of a group of tracks. Fred Falke makes his contribution with his electro disco funk version of “Make You Mine”. Like Treasure Fingers, Fred Falke never really seems to produce a bad track. This “Make You Mine” rework seems like a perfect to start the week off grooving.
You knew it had to be good, right? Fred Falke with his sultry synth grooves splattering them all over the already amazing “Two Weeks” from Grizzly Bear. Well it is good…and I now know what Grizzly Bear would sound like if they made a huge sound change and decided to become the next A-Ha. Mr. Falke you are amazing.
Okay okay what’s going on here? First Justice does U2 and Kravitz and now my beloved Fred Falke is getting in on it. To his credit Fred Falke does a band up job with U2’s “Magnificent”, but there’s something underlying this mix that’s just not right…
Hopefully on this so called “hexed” day I end up with a little more luck than last Friday. I was doing a good thing and finally going to the doctor to see if everything was running okay. Seemed I didn’t have my tetanus shot up to date so I rolled up my sleeve and got ‘er done. Which in turn led to four days of high fever – thus complicating any substance of a weekend. Thanks Doc. Oh well. This weekend seems like it should be sunshine and roses…unless…

Don’t you love when the work week ends on a mellow note? Most of the time it ends in a scramble to GET THINGS ACCOMPLISHED, but this week has taken a brighter end with smiles and relaxation in the work place. Right now this job doesn’t seem so bad when this kind of atmosphere is filling the room. Time to blast some tunes to continue this mood (because there’s always another week looming after the weekend).
