New Gorillaz Album, New Deerhoof Video, New Vampire Weekend and The Killers Song! New!

Recently in an interview with CBC, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett of Gorillaz talked about just beginning to put together the next Gorillaz album. You could tell they wanted to spill out a little more about it, but the label has put the clamps on anything to be said about it. Still pretty exciting though if you’re a Gorillaz fan (like me).

In other news Deerhoof has just put out a video for the track Fresh Born off their upsoming album Offend Maggie. This song is classic Deerhoof craziness with an awesome beat, much dancing, and one pissed off gorilla. Check it out:

Finally some new tracks from Vampire Weekend and The Killers have been circulating through the blogsphere. Vampire Weekend’s Ottoman picks up right where they left off with their massively popular debut – a light, fun pop song with gorgeous string accents. The Killers new track, Human, the first single off their much anticipated third album Day & Age (due out in November) is gaining a lot of buzz for its apparent return to Hot Fuss form. After listening to the track I’m not completely sure of that. It’s okay…but not great…hopefully they pull it out with the rest of the album. What do you think?
