New Interactive Cold War Kids Video for I’ve Seen Enough

California’s Cold War Kids have gone the creative route with their new video for the track “I’ve Seen Enough” off of their most recent album, Loyalty To Loyalty.  They’ve gone away from the strictly black and white theme and went with a colorful choose your own adventure type way to watch a video/listen to a song.

Check it out here.

New Cold War Kids Video – “I’ve Seen Enough”

“I’ve Seen Enough” is probably my favorite tracks off of Cold War Kids most recent album Loyalty To Loyalty released last year.  So it’s nice to see it get the video treatment.  The visual style goes in accordance with the entire album’s style so far – black and white imagery paired with the occasional bold type-faced word.  “I’ve Seen Enough” is a fast paced cut up collection of video from the band on tour and recording.  It’s directed by Vern Moen.  Check it (video after the jump):

Cold War Kids – “Loyalty To Loyalty”

Cold War Kids‘ newest LP Loyalty To Loyalty (out on Downtown Records) took me by surprise with it’s aggressive political undertones.  What happened to the laid back soulful grooves that I remember and love?  I guess the years of this frustrating political state have taken a toll on all of us and Cold War Kids let all that pent up angst out with Loyalty To Loyalty.  That’s not to say it’s not an enjoyable effort.  It’s actually quite refreshing.  Cold War Kids abandoned heavy production, settling in on a rough and tumble, southern fried stressed out sound that sweats turmoil and broods passion.  Also captures the quality of their live sound more accurately.  If you’re looking for a soundtrack to your own movement, Loyalty To Loyalty might just be the album to strap your marching boots on to.

This is prob old news to some, but it was news to me, so I’m posting. And you can’t stop me.

The Cold War Kids will be kicking off a limited US tour November 16th in Portland, and will be at my second home (the 9:30 Club) for two night November 27th and 28th. I had the pleasure of watching these guys open for Muse twice this summer, and they rock. Go see them.

Right now there are only tix on sale for the 27th, but their myspace clearly shows two nights. Not sure what that means.

And what do you know. I mentioned Muse. Thats a perfectly good reason to post more video from their amazing show in Philly this summer.
