Chromeo’s single for Green Label Sound, “Night By Night”, has just received the video treatment. I know what you’re thinking…what could best visually describe this song. Well if you were hoping it would be truck drivers holding obscure late night dirty dancing tryouts…then booyah!
Another week is coming to a close and I don’t think there’s a better way to shut ‘er down than a new Chromeo track. “Night By Night”, a track done for the Green Label Sound, is by no means reinventing their, but it’s new Chromeo….and it kills. Also if you have a second to play around check out the Chromeotizer (much like that Daft Punk thingy a while back). I’ve just spent the morning fooling around with it and I’m sure if there were others in the office right now, I’d be annoying the heck out of ‘em. But who cares. I’m rockin’ it. It’s Friday. Hell yeah.
It’s insane that Chromeo is so marvelous. Really. It is. I could listen to their albums for days upon days and most definitely it would put me in a better mood. So their next in line for the DJ Kicks series and as a promotion they’ve given away their own cover of the Eagles classic “I Can’t Tell You Why”. It’s marvelous. Really. It is. Should that surprise you or me? Not one bit. Chromeo is so golden they can rock a kids show like nobody else. Check the track:
So this week was crappy. Cold. Ice. Tough sledding in DC (I still have faith Obama will get it together). Tough sledding in Tampa (not a Steelers fan – though I do admit they were pretty good). Work was a big headache on most of the days. If it wasn’t for my lovely family and the new episode of Lost…I would be downright miserable right now. Luckily it’s the start of the weekend now. The weather is going to warm up and the sun is going to come out and shine it’s shine down on my shiney forehead and…I’ll smile…and forget about all that crap…and…drum up some optimism for the following week. Maybe these will help you bring a little sunshine in:

It’s been a hot second since Toronto duo Jesse F. Keeler and Al-P aka MSTRKRFT released their debut album The Looks. Well they have finally announced that their follow up album (possibly called Fist Of God) should be out on March 17th (just in time for some St. Pats partying) via Dim Mok/Downtown Records. They said this album sees the group flirting with “darker, underground disco and house, with elements of American rock music” and features E-40, Freeway, and Lil’ Mo. Can’t wait!
Now that the REAL Thanksgiving has come and gone, we can all sit back and contemplate the next holiday. Good ole X-mas. The celebration of X. Here’s some audio treats to soothe your stuffing stuffed mind while evaluating what X really means to you.
Black Friday is here, but I’m not one to wake up a the crack of dawn to fight through a crowd of belligerent shoppers for that half priced toaster or $10 DVD player. Nope…I’m taking it easy cheesy today and heading over to my family’s day late Thanksgiving dinner. Speaking of good eatin’, feast on these…ummm….dang…this is what happens when you plan ahead and try to write a post for a day that you would not be able to post on…then you get the days mixed up because of lack of sleep…then the post goes up on the wrong day…and it doesn’t seem to make any sense at all…and you end up looking a bit foolish…well at least it’s Friday…right?

The chill in the air is back. Just when I was demanding for winter to be here because I was tired of sweating and all that, the wind has picked up and the cold is finally settling in. Brrrrr. When’s summer going to get here? Hopefully these warm you up.
mp3: Treasure Fingers – Cross The Dancefloor (Chromeo Remix)
