To go along with their massive party of a tour together, Mates Of State and Black Kids have officially been mashed together as well. DJA of Mad Decent has taken the funk of Black Kids and smushed it with the pop dream of Mates of State…and here’s the result:

The Economy is down the tubes. This suit I’m wearing is itching me something serious. A huge black death cloud seems to be making it’s way towards me. How come my car looks like so many other cars? Where the hell did I park? Now I’m soaked.
These are the thoughts that ran through my head in this rain filled deficit growing larger week. On two occasions I stood next to a car pressing the unlock button on my keychain with no result. Then I realized….wait this is not my car. TGIF.

Tonight there are two splendid Philadelphia shows you might be interested in attending. The first is The Extraordinaires, Child Bite, and Voodoo Economics. That trio of bands is playing The Khyber. Finally tonight, Black Kids take over the First Unitarian Church on their spirited tour with The Virgins and Magic Wands. Definitely a good one.

Tonight in Baltimore don’t miss the main event over at the Ottobar featuring Black Kids, The Virgins, and Magic Wands. It should be a good one. Also in Charm City are Squaaks, Dressy Bessy, and Rock who play The Talking Head. Finally in DC the Red and the Black have The Interiors, Fever, Tokyo, and Puma Libre. Enjoy!
