I thought it was kinda boring even though I picked up on all the cameos, but I can understand why they would make a video like that as a lot of their music is lyrically focused on getting away from pop culture and doing what you want, and the internet is a great medium for that, so internet idols makes sense.

drum stick lightsabers were awesome though.
but buddy holly will always be a cult classic.
