Seattle 5 piece Black Whales were a pleasant surprise a few weeks ago in my ever-crowded inbox. Their Origins EP out now via Mt. Fuji is filled with un-glamorous rock. There’s no spectacle in their sound, rather just a knack for some pure ringing rock and roll.
