Sometimes I just have to give GvB props. They’ve been posting about jj for a while now, and I’ve just slowed down to listen to what all the fuss was about. Here we go again with the spac beach sun-laden bedroom pop. Am I sick of it? Well when it sounds this good – hells no. As beautiful as jj’s music is, the band itself seem to be a mystery wrapped in an enigma. The information about them is slim to none though there’s some speculation that it’s really The Tough Alliance with a female singer. Hmmm. jj’s album jj n° 2 is out now via Sweden’s Sincerely Yours label which sports a roster of The Tough Alliance, Air France, and Memory Cassette. Actually if you drape that list of bands in seaweed and cast it off into the deep blue sea, music sounding like jj might just float to the top.

Even when you disguise it in awesome dream pop, I really hate that Lil’ Wayne song with a passion. I hate it when someone remixes a song that I’m already way past sick of hearing. Good second track though.
