Neon Indian, the project of Alan Palomo aka Vega, is lighting up the internets for sure. The EP Psychic Chasms which comes out on October 13th via Lefse Records is probably one of the most enjoyable pieces of music I’ve heard in recent months. Liquid synthesizers, seriously dense smoke machine haze, a sense of nostalgia brought on by some lo-fi-ness, ghostly samples – all mush and swirl together into some sort of grand electronic new wave foggy pop. Really there’s nothing to not like, except the over hype…which I’m adding to right now. Oh well.

As you may have heard, all of our touring (and much of the recording gear) was stolen during our stay at the Residence inn Marriot in downtown Sacramento. We implore for you to send this list around to anyone you may know in the area or if you have any ideas that could lead to finding or replacing any of it I’d love to hear it.
