DC’s Le Loup started making waves with the release of the Throne Of The Third Heaven Of The Nations’ Millennium General Assembly which crippled bloggers with it’s lengthy title but healed them with the lovely indie rock goodness sounding much like a mash of Polyphonic Spree, Arcade Fire, and MGMT. Well they’re back again with a new album that thankfully has a much shorter name, Family, out on Hardly Art on September 22nd. The first single, “Beach Town”, is an echo laden sun filled beat fest. I actually have had this track, “Beach House” in my collection for a while, since at least May. It was part of some release that I downloaded named as “White Session”. It might have been an early self release, or something…I could never figure that out. There are also two other tracks that don’t appear on their LP, one titled “Sea Took Me”, and the other titled “Celebration”. “Celebration” seems to appear on their forthcoming LP, while I haven’t been able to find “Sea Took Me” anywhere else. If you’d like a copy of either track, let me know.
