The Brooklyn five piece Paul And The Patients made a short time ago with their “Blogspot” track about blogs and the music industry and how it’s changed it possibly for the worst. A lot of blogs posted this track so that was a bit ironic I guess. While that tune was good, the rest of their EP To The Lions has really got me going right now.
Elements of garage rock, soul, and post rock all make appearances, but what really hits me over the head in amazement is the rough and vibrant vocals of the lead singer Paul Holes. They flat out kill. I don’t think I’ve been this impressed with a lead male vocal since the first time I witnessed The Sheila Divine. To The Lions is out via American Myth.
