Australia’s Wolf & Cub is an interesting dilemma of music. One part in your face rock – pushing and hooking you; and one part tranced out trip hop with rock/tribal undertones. Two sides of a coin brought together. Peaks and valleys crossed. Those two aspects of Wolf & Cub seem at odds some moments on their new album Science and Sorcery (see it’s in the name), but it all comes crashing together perfectly for the most part, especially on the lead single “Seven Sevens”.
