London’s Zero 7 are set to release a follow up to When It Falls in September with Heavy Ghost (comes out Sept. 8th). I can get into trip-hop every now and again and I’m interested to see how this album shapes up. Especially since the first taste we get with the track “Everything Up (Zizou)” is pretty superb. The tight beat is the engine of the song while flourishes of electronics and samples buzz louder and, by the end, swell around the vocals of Eska Mtungwaz. Pretty impressive first bite. Let’s hope the rest is as appealing. The first single will be “Medicine Man” and will be out later this summer.
