The amount of music coming through the area today and tomorrow is SICK. Let’s get on it then shall we? Here in Baltimore the Hexagon has Shigeto, D. Gookin, Charles Trees, and Mogi Grumbles, the Ottobar has Jason Dove/Vacation Face (CD Release), June Star, and Impossible Hair, the Golden West Cafe has Prabir and the Substitutes, and finally Rams Head Live has Medeski Martin and Wood. Down in DC the Warner Theater has PJ Harvey and John Parish, the Rock and Roll Hotel has an Aural States event with A Place To Bury Strangers, Caverns, and True Womanhood, the Black Cat has Dean and Britta and Cheval Sombre, and the Velvet Lounge has Kadman, Like Bells, and Stella Schindler. Across the way in Arlington Viva Voce and Cut Off Your Hands play Iota. Up North in Philly the Trocadero has Doves, the Susquehana Bank Center has NIN and Janes Addiction, Johnny Brenda’s has White Rabbits, and the World Cafe Live has Frontier Ruckus. Sorry for the run on sentences there, but that’s a lot of friggin shows.
