The Run Down – May 16, 2009

Baltimore is a great place to be tonight (hell Baltimore’s a great place to be most of the time in general) because the Metro Gallery has a super show lined up for those who enjoy outstanding music.  Pomegranates, Wye Oak, Cakes Of Light, and Ari Schenk will perform and it’s surely bound to be a solid event.  Also in town across the street at the Hexagon are Blues Control, Chandeliers, Javelin, Dream Neighbor, and Polygons.  If you head down to Fells Point you can also catch Big In Japan, We Read Minds, and To The Moon who are playing Fletcher’s.  If you happen to be in DC you’re in luck as well because the Rock and Roll Hotel have put together another great evening with Middle Distance Runner, Pretty & Nice, Loose Lips, and Drink Up Buttercup.  This show will be awesome – GUARANTEED!  Finally up north in Philadelphia The Shins finish making the rounds of our little corridor by playing The Electric Factory.  Enjoy!

  • Big in Japan and We Read Minds were great. We Read Minds was great with their fans. Big in Japan played some new-ish stuff that sounded fabulous.
