So here I am on a lazy Thursday morning trying to perk myself up to make this work day work for me. The coffee was not doing the trick so I decided to rummage through some new music and BINGO I struck the gold mine with Austin’s Built By Snow. You all know I’m a sucker for pop rock so when Built By Snow’s crafty 8 bit crack pop came a-blastin’ through the speakers I couldn’t help but feel revitalized. They say their influenced by “the Cars, DEVO, 8-bit Nintendo, Mates of State, Tegan and Sara, the Rentals, and the Strokes” and if you mash all that up into a gooey neon pulp then you’d probably have something along the lines of Built By Snow. MEGA is there new album that was released at the beginning of the year. It gets a thumbs up from me.
