The Run Down – April 25, 2009

Now this is how every Saturday should be – completely stacked with shows all over!  Here in Baltimore Manchester Orchestra, Fun. and Audrye Sessions play the Ottobar while Cex and Mad Happy play The Zodiac.  Also over at the Talking Head Yukon, Daniel Frances Doyle, The Wayward, and Eachothers play.  The Wind Up Space has We Read Minds and We Used To Be Family while The Roots will be performing at Johns Hopkins University.  Floristree has a good one with Quintron & Miss Pussycat, Psychedelic Horseshit, and Ed Schrader.  The main event thought is over at Sonar where there’s a massive Tax Lo extravaganza with Simian Mobile Disco as the headliner.  Also performing will be Tittsworth, Feadz (Ed Banger, France), Triobelisk, and more.  Of course the whole thing is hosted by Cullen Stalin and Simon Phoenix.  DC ain’t no slouch either!  Bowerbirds, Bell, and Birdlips play the show of “B” titled bands at the Rock and Roll Hotel.  Up north in Philadelphia Baltimore’s Celebration play Kung Fu Necktie while Mogwai plays the Trocadero.  Also the Walkmen and Kings Of Leon play the Wachovia Spectrum.  Enjoy!

  • Great post. Love the Simian Mobile Track. Keep it up and I’ll check back regularly, good mp3 selections.
