It’s a clash of Brooklyn vs. London. The Golden Filter has redressed Little Boots‘ “New In Town”. The best part of this venture is that it completely re-tones “New In Town” into a sparse and almost sinister dark and winding road of a song. A doom and gloom bass line paired with an extra echo of the vocals take the bouncy club pop track to a different hemisphere. The original was already one of my favorites so it’s nice to hear someone really put their stamp on a remix without destroying it.
