White Rabbits have a new album coming out this year entitled It’s Frightening and they’ve just released the first track from it for all to ear. “Percussion Gun” is a track heavy on the percussion – it fires off through the song just like….a gun (a shock there). While the song isn’t terrible, it’s not of the same caliber of many tracks off their previous album Fort Nightly. The melody and vocals are not as strong as I’d hoped and the song doesn’t ever seem to stray from that battering of rhythm. Perhaps this song makes more sense in the middle of the album somewhere, but as far as a lead single….hmmm.
