It’s always nice when I receive some quality local music in the mail. Baltimore’s Human Conduct label recently sent us a package that featured a few albums from Rick Weaver’s The Ruined Frame. Weaver plays loud folk rock or perhaps hushed full on rock with psychedelic fits, angry choruses, and much more. While every track may not end up on a mixtape, The Ruined Frame have that gusto that get me going and sound like early Modest Mouse mixed with the Melvins ripped apart by Johnny Cash covered by the White Stripes. If that doesn’t get you interested than something’s wrong with you. The Ruined Frame have a ton of music available at reasonable prices on their myspace.
