I’m a little late to the game on the Royksopp tip, but I’m starting to get into their new album Junior (due out March 23rd). The duo from Norway produce catchy electro hazes that are pleasant to the ears and feet. That being said I thought the highlight for me would be the track “Miss It So Much” which features the amazing Lykke Li. Don’t get me wrong the song is acceptable, but Lykke Li has such a powerful presence that simply isn’t brought out in this song. It’s more of a swirling electro merry go round that occasionally rotates around and you hear a sparkle of Lykke Li. Still good though – just not great…and we all could use a little more great. And don’t forget, Mr. Kanye West approves!

This is, by far, my favorite album released so far in ‘09. I’m late getting into Royksopp too, as I just checked them out within the last 3 months or so. Though I’ve gotta agree with you and say Miss It So Much is probably my least favorite track on the album, though that’s not saying all that much, as it’s still listenable. My favs would be Vision One and This Must Be It (with Karin from The Knife).
