Ahh…Tucson, Arizona. Home of Calexico…and Mostly Bears. You haven’t heard of them? Well something tells me you’ll be delighted to hear their music. Mostly Bears, just a little 3 piece band that started up in 2006, play full, rich, energy laden indie rock that grips my ears and pulls with all it’s might. They have that vivacity and sparkle that I always look for in music. There’s the same passion and spirit streaming through their slower ballads as in their large rock numbers. I guess I’ve been drawing up some comparisons to Wolf Parade in that regard. Never the less, Mostly Bears have released their debut album, The Ed Mitchell Clinic, earlier this year and it has pulled out the sleeper sofa and nestled itself into my daily music rotation. Here’s a small sampling of what The Ed Mitchell Clinic is filled to the brim with…

mp3: Mostly Bears – Leda Atómica

I’ve been listening to them quite a bit this year. An all around good album.
